Tuesday, May 15-- 7:00 PM PHS Spring Band Concert in the Auditorium (Students Arrive at 6 PM. Uniforms are to be checked in immediately after the concert. Students have been instructed to bring street clothes to wear home.)

Parade of Bands Concert: Wednesday, March 28, 2012 7:00 PM
Thanks to all who attended! It was another huge success!
Congratulations to the 9 events from the PHS Band program that earned a 1 Rating at the District Solo/Small Ensemble Festival. All of these events will perform at the State Music Festival on Saturday, April 28 at Mizzou in Columbia, MO.
Congratulations to the PHS Jazz Ensemble for their great performance at this year's "Jazz in the Meadows" festival at Rolling Meadows HS in Chicago. For the second consecutive year PHS placed in the Top 4 and earned a 1 Rating...the highest you can achieve at the festival. In addition, John S. earned the Oustanding Soloist of the 2A Division!
ALL-STATE BAND MEMBERS
Congratulations to our 4 All-State Musicians! They will be attending the MMEA state music conference at Tan-Tar-A this week representing Pattonville in their respective ensembles.
John S., Senior, is Pattonville's first Four-Time All State Band Member. This year he will be performing in the All-State Jazz Band as the lead trombonist, but also made the All-State Band on both Euphonium and Trombone!
David L., Senior, is a Three-Time All-State Band Member and will be performing in the All-State Band on trombone!
Jacob J., Senior, will be performing in the All-State Jazz Band on the Baritone Saxophone!
Kim E., Sophomore, will be performing in the All-State Band on clarinet!
We are very proud of all of you!

HAWAII TRIP CHAPERONES
Hawaii trip chaperone selections have been made. Thanks to everyone who expressed an interest in helping out with this trip. If you were not selected and contacted by Mr. McFarland via email to serve as an official trip chaperone, we hope you will be able to join us by signing up for the "Friends and Family" trip option. Brochures are available in the band room. Aloha!

Hawaii Trip Info (June 2012)
For those interested in the "Friends and Family" package, we now have a brochure in the band room containing all available details. The "Friends and Family" package must be booked through the travel company directly, not through the band directors.
Click here for a copy of the HAWAII packet distributed at our trip meeting on 4/20/11.
5th payment: $150 payment due on or before Friday, November 18. Please place payments in the booster drop box inside the band room. This payment should bring each student's balance to $1,050.
Congratulations to our:
All-State Band Members: John S. (3rd consecutive year!) and David L. (2nd year in a row!) These students recently performed with the All-State Band at the MMEA state music conference!
In addition, Kim E. was named Honorable Mention All State as a freshman!
SLSMEA Honor Band Members:
Laura D, Kim E., Megan J., Lexi K., David L. and John S. Kudos Jacob J. for being named 1st alternate.
All-Suburban Jazz Band Members: David L. and John S.
Congratulations to the PHS Band Members who earned a total of six 1's, six 2's and one 3 rating at the State Music Festival, Saturday, April 30 at Mizzou in Columbia, MO!
